Violet Voss | Holy Grail Palette Review

Hi Beauties!

Violet Voss is a brand that is so well known for their glitter pigments, however that’s not all they do. The brand has been steadily growing to include eyeshadow palettes, lashes, liquid lipsticks, and highlighters. They have also gained a lot of popularity through their collaborations with some amazing beauty influencers like Nicol Concilio and Laura Lee.

One of their most popular products is a warm toned, burgundy rich palette known as the ‘Holy Grail’ palette. This product is without a doubt the favourite and most used eyeshadow palette in my entire collection and I wanted to share my love for it with all of you! I know this palette has been out for a while now, but it wouldn’t be an emmakbeauty blog if this palette wasn’t mentioned at least once.

Let’s get into swatching and reviewing!

Top – Bottom: Crystal; Ploof; Thanks A Latte; Transition; Hashtag; Awesome Sauce; Bestie; Toffee; Chill; How U Doin
Top – Bottom: Bat My Eyes; Cool Beans; R U Kitten Me; So Jelly; On Fleek; Brownie Points; Teddy Bear; Glamping; Cranberry Splash; Wine N Dine

Let’s break this palette down a little bit. If you are buying directly through the Violet Voss website then this palette will set you back $45 USD (approx. $57 AUD). It contains 20 highly pigmented shades with a great variety of mattes, metals and satin finishes. The palette is infused with jojoba oil and is vegan and cruelty free!

The first thing I noticed was that the pan sizes are quiet large compared to some of the other eyeshadow palettes I have in my collection. In terms of the shades themselves, I love the warm toned orange, red and brown colour theme as I love the look of these colours on my green eyes. Although the matte shades come across a lot drier in the swatches, they apply so nicely to the eyes and blend very easily. The metal and satin shades in this palette are definitely my favourites. They swatch beautifully, apply amazingly to the eyes, have a great metallic wet look to them and blend together with other shades really well also.

I can understand why the brand chose to call this the ’Holy Grail’ palette, as that is what it is to me now! Such an amazing and highly pigmented palette with a great range of shades which I could easily use everyday to create different makeup looks (whether it’s a more natural look, or something more dramatic for a night out). I would 100% recommend this palette to anyone who loves a good warm toned burgundy palette!

Have you tried this palette? How did it work for you? Leave me a comment and let me know! 🙂

That’s all for now Beauties!
