Colourpop Cosmetics | Pressed Shadow Review

Hi Beauties!

ColourPop Cosmetics has really been on the up lately! With the constant influx of new products and collaborations, it is easy to see why this brand has become such a staple within the beauty community. And the best part? The majority of their single products within the price range of $5 – $8 USD ($6 – $11 AUD), so you can see why their products are a major hit.

I am a huge fan of their super shock shadows/cheek collections, so when they recently launched their new range of single pressed shadows I knew I had to get my hands on them. Currently, their single pressed shadows come in three different finishes – matte, metallic and satin. I picked up several of their best selling matte and metallic shades, as well as the two iluvsarahii eyeshadow collab collection, to try out and share my thoughts with you guys. So, let’s get into swatching and reviewing!

As you can see by the swatches, the matte shades are very hit and miss. Although they are quite highly pigmented, the formula feels extremely dry, with the darker shades being the biggest disappointment. The pigmentation in the lighter shades is impressive, however, the dryness in the formula made them harder to blend once on the eyes. I also noticed when swatching, some of the shadows were very flakey (particularly the shade Get Out). However, I am determined to make them work!

The metallic shades are definitely what won me over. They are super creamy and pigmented and perform amazingly on the eyes with such great staying power. I will definitely be adding more of the ColourPop metallic shades to my cart with future purchases.

Have you tried the ColourPop Cosmetics pressed shadows? How did they work for you? Leave me a comment and let me know! 🙂

That’s all for now Beauties!
