Today’s post is all about my blush collection! When I first started out playing with makeup I never really saw blush as being that important. Sure, it brings some colour back to the face but so does bronzer or contour. However, the more I played around, the more I realised it really does help bring certain makeup looks together. Although I don’t think that wearing blush is super necessary, I still love collecting them. My blush collection, much like my entire makeup collection really, is bigger than any single person really needs. But I still love each and every blush I own.
So, let’s get into my blush collection.
Milani Cosmetics Baked Blushes – If you are looking for affordable, pigmented, beautiful blushes than these are the ones for you. ‘Luminoso’ was one of the first blushes I ever owned and it will always remain in my makeup collection. ‘Dolce Pink’ and ‘Berry Amore’ are newer favourites in my collection. These blushes are stunning on the skin because they also add a slight glow to the skin.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush – I picked up this blush as part of a mini kit a while back now, and I am so glad that I did. Although I can’t find this shade as a normal sized single, I am sure that all of the Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes are just as amazing as this one.
Face of Australia Blush – This was another blush that was the first in my collection. I have been through too many pans to count but that proves that I truly love these blushes. I own the shades ‘Nutmeg’ and ‘Primrose’. If you get the chance to try these blushes out, you won’t be disappointed.
Benefit Cosmetics Blushes – These blushes are newer to my collection and therefore have not earnt the ‘I love you’ status just yet, but they will get there soon I am sure. Although ‘Dandelion’ is technically a finishing powder, I find that the colour it leaves on my pale skin resembles more of a beautiful blush shade. ‘GALifornia’ was a shade that I knew I had to get as soon as it came out in the middle of last year. It is a little disappointing that the gold foil only sits on the top of the product and doesn’t run all the way through, but I still love the shade anyway!
The Balm Cosmetics Blushes – these blushes were some of the first in my collection also. I first bought ‘Hot Mama‘ after seeing swatches of it online. The shimmer in the blush shade really compliments my skin tone. I bought ‘downBOY‘ not long after because I was curious to see how the light pink matte shade would work on my skin. Luckily for me, it did and I love it!
Too Faced Love Flush Blush Wardrobe – Unfortunately for you guys, this was a limited edition product. Luckily for me, I bought it and fell in love with it pretty damn quickly. My favourite, go-to shade would have to be ‘Love Hangover’. Too Faced does, however, sell single blush pans which include some of the shades in this amazing palette. Although I haven’t tried the single blush pans, I know if they are at all similar to the palette I will fall in love with them also.
Designer Brands Mineral Pressed Blushes – Another super affordable range that I would definitely recommend. I grabbed these online before I realised that they are sold in basically every chemist in Australia. They are such beautiful products, they apply beautifully to the skin and you get sooo much product! I own the shades ‘Rose’ and ‘Blossom’. Go out and try them if you haven’t already.
Nars Blush – This blush was my first ever Nars/super high-end purchase and I don’t regret it one bit. Although this shade intimidates me at times, it is such a beauty and a true necessity in my collection now. It contains super small golden glitters which really compliments the stunning pink shade of the blush. I am so happy that I saved up to purchase this product.
