Jeffree Star | Blood Sugar Palette | First Impression

Hi Beauties!

Jeffree Star Cosmetics has seriously been stepping up their game over the last few years, and I am here for it. Back in February, Jeffree released his third eyeshadow palette in his collection, the ‘Blood Sugar’ palette (FYI, it sold out in 3 minutes during its first release)!

When I first saw the palette I really didn’t think that I needed it in my collection. Sure I love me some red/purple tones, but how different could it be from every other eyeshadow palette that I own. However, the more I saw looks being posted on Instagram using this palette, the more I knew I had to get it. It contains 18 eyeshadows and pressed-pigments with three amazing formulas; matte, metallic and pressed glitter. How could you go wrong?

Let’s get into some swatching! (Please excuse my horrid fake tan)

Shades – Top to Bottom: Glucose; Sugarcane; Cake Mix; Ouch; Donor; Intravenous
Shades – Top to Bottom: Candy Floss; Tongue Pop; Sweetener; Cavity; O Positive; Root Canal
Shades – Top to Bottom: Prick; Chery Soda; Fresh Meat; Blood Sugar; Extraction; Coma

Like most palettes, the matte shades are a little drier to swatch, especially the deeper purple shades. However, the metallics and glitter shades are absolutely stunning and super pigmented. I can not wait to test this out on my eyes. As always I will let you know how they perform once I have tested out all of the shades more on my eyes!

Did you get your hands on the Blood Sugar palette? How did they work for you? Leave me a comment and let me know! 🙂

That’s all for now Beauties!
