Juvia’s Place | The Zulu Eyeshadow Palette

Hi Beauties!

If you haven’t heard of Juvia’s Place, then you are in for a real treat! The owner, Chichi Eburu, is a Nigeria-born wife and mother of two who launched her cosmetics company roughly 4 years ago. Currently, they sell super vibrant and pigmented eyeshadow palettes, highlighters, blushes, lipstick and brushes!

I recently picked up three of the Juvia’s Place eyeshadow palettes, so today’s post is going to focus on the Zulu Palette! I will be sharing swatches, details on all the shades and my first impressions of this palette.

Let’s get into it!

The Zulu palette contains 9 large shadow pans, 6 beautiful matte shades and 3 exotic metallic shimmers. You can buy these directly from the Juvia’s Place website for $20 USD (approx. $28 AUD), however I purchased mine from the Black Swallow website (at time of posting, it was unable to find it on the website, possibly sold out).

“Art is Life

The ambiance of the Zulu eyeshadow palette takes on a new character. It exemplifies the rich arts of the Ndebele people of South Africa, embodied with colourful symmetry and precision.

A limitless expression of self through eccentric hues, earth tones and exotic metallic shades.”

The Zulu Palette Shades

Shade 1 – light bright matte orange

Shade 2 – matte yellow

Shade 3 – medium matte warm brown with yellow/orange undertones

Shade 4 – creamy matte teal

Shade 5 – foiled spring green

Shade 6 – foiled aqua

Shade 7 – pinky gold duo chrome

Shade 8 – bright matte rose

Shade 9 – bright matte purple

As I expected, the pigmentation of this palette is amazing! I am usually blown away by shimmer shades, but for this palette, it’s all about the matte shades. This palette really inspires me to play with bright bold colours and I can’t wait to get into this palette.

Have you tried any Juvia’s Place palettes? What other Juvia’s Place palettes would you recommend I try? Leave me a comment and let me know! 🙂

That’s all for now Beauties!

  1. wow those colors are gorgeous! I have tried the Nubian 2 palette, and the blush palette. The Nubian 2 was just not my cup of tea, but the shadows did perform well! Very pigmented and long lasting which i loved. id love to try a palette with that formula but a color story I like, like The Tribe

    • I haven’t tried that one! I agree though, I have both of the Saharan palettes and one of them (can’t remember which one right now) I never reach for because the colour story confuses me haha
