Over the last year or so I have seen so many bloggers do their own Project Pan posts some of my favourites are MU Favorites, Polished and Inspired and Little Beauty Loves). I love the idea and thought it was a great time to try it for myself! If you are unfamiliar with the concept, it is basically where you set yourself a goal to hit pan or empty products that you have in your makeup collection.
My reasoning behind wanting to start this is pretty simple, I have so many makeup items in my collection, a lot of which have been there since the beginning. So, my goal is to use up some products that I haven’t been reaching for lately, or products that I love that will soon expire.
I have selected a bunch of products for my Project Pan, so today’s post is going to focus on them! I will share why I am including them and what I love or don’t love about each product.
Let’s get into it!
I have chosen two different primers; the Stila One Step Correct Brightening Serum and the L’Oreal Paris Base Magique Smoothing Primer.
As you can tell by the photo, my Stila primer is almost empty, so I figured this would be a good one to include so that I force myself to use it to the last drop, and I will feel super accomplished when I can move this out of my collection and into my empties tub. I really love this primer for when my skin is feeling a little dehydrated and red as it not only colour corrects, but it also is super moisturising.
I have chosen the L’Oreal primer simply because it is an older product in my collection and I would love to try and use it all up before it expires later on this year. It is a really great smoothing primer and it works so well at blurring and hiding larger pores in the skin.
I have picked two foundations to focus on; the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation and the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation.
If you have been following my blog for a while, or have me on Instagram, then you might already know that the Born This Way Foundation is one of my favourite, holy grail base products. I have specifically chosen this foundation for the Project Pan because again it is an older product in my collection and I would love to use it up before it expires and purchase myself another, it is also a great colour for when I am more faked tanned.
I have chosen the Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation because it is newer in my collection and I would love to eventually do my first ever foundation review on this product. I have worn it a few times and so far I am impressed. It is my perfect pale colour so it will be great to use alongside the Too Faced Foundation which is too dark for my natural skin.
Again, I have picked two different concealers; the M.A.C. Pro Longwear Concealer and the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer.
If I am being honest, I haven’t used the M.A.C. Concealer for close to a year now and I am pretty sure it is very close to being expired. I can not bring myself to just throw it away because it is very sentimental for me as it is one of the first ever M.A.C. products I have tried. I have been through a few tubes of it and know it was once my go-to concealer so I can’t wait to rekindle my love for this concealer. It is perfect to match with my Born This Way Foundation as it is also a darker shade that would only match me when I am fake tanned.
I have picked the Maybelline Concealer because again, this was once a holy grail in my collection. I have been through countless tubes of this product but for some reason haven’t reached for it as much lately. It is a great shade for when I am my natural pale self so I know I will be using it up pretty quickly over the next few months.
The two setting powders I have picked are the Australis Fresh & Flawless Pressed Powder and the Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder.
These were easy picks for me, I love both of these powders and use them regularly anyway. The Rimmel Powder has been in my collection for a while so it would be great to use it up and move it out of my makeup drawers so that I can try some newer powders that I have had my eye on recently. The Australis powder is an all time favourite and it works well for both my natural skin and my fake tanned skin.
The two bronzers I have chosen are the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil and the darker Chocolate Soleil bronzer.
Again, these have been in my collection forever (as you can tell by the old packaging) and I would love to move them right along so I can try others. I have picked these two shades so that I have one for when I am more tanned and one that matches when I am paler. I also really like the look of the new packaging for this product so I will most likely replace these when I finally am finished with them.
The two blushers I have picked are the Face of Australia Blushes in Primrose and Nutmeg.
These were some of the first blushers I have ever brought way back when I first started getting into makeup, so they are a little sentimental. I have loved them so much but it is definitely going to be time to part ways with them soon. I have already reached pan on the Primrose shade however, I would love to use up the product completely!
Just one product for the highlighter section, the Models Own Sculpt & Glow Highlighter Powder in the shade Peach Pearl.
This is a newer product in my collection so I haven’t had the chance to play around with it too much. I want to give it the full test to see if it is something that I love or something that I can declutter later on in the year.
I have chosen my ColourPop Cosmetics Brow Colour in the shade Black ‘N Brown.
I have been using this Brow Colour non-stop lately (as you can probably tell by the large dint in it in the photo). This was an easy pick to include in my Project Pan as I know I love using it so having to use it more often in order to hit pan won’t be too hard for me to do.
Lastly, I have picked two mascaras; the Maybelline Colossal Mascara and the Covergirl Lashblast Fusion Water Resistant Mascara.
I love both of these mascaras for different reasons, the Covergirl one is more of a natural darkening mascara which is great for everyday wear to work and the Maybelline mascara is great for when I want a heavier, thicker looking lash or for when I use false lashes. These are both well loved and well used so they will be empty in no time.
As you can tell I have no eyeshadows or lip products included in my Project Pan. I own SOO many of both these categories and I love mixing up what lipsticks I use and trying new eyeshadow palettes to review so I didn’t think that I could really include anything from these categories.
What are some products you are including in your own Project Pan’s this year? Leave me a comment and let me! 🙂
That’s all for now Beauties!
