Welcome back to my blog! Today I am going to start another little series on my site that I really hope you will enjoy. Say hello to Skincare Sunday! As the name suggests, skincare Sunday is going to focus on all things skincare. From reviews of skincare products I have been testing out to my favourite masks and so on. If you have any suggestions for skincare products you would like me to review and test out please don’t hesitate to leave me a comment or send me an email through my contact page.
Let’s get into our first Skincare Sunday post!
Want to know my dirty little secret? I have never been one to actually follow a proper in-depth skincare routine. Yes, I know, how could I do such a thing? Well, to be honest, I have never really had any troubling issues with my skin. Yes I get an odd breakout every now and then and yes I get dry in the winter and oily in the summer but it had never been a real issue for me. However, lately I have been wanting to step up my makeup game, and everyone knows that makeup can only do so much, the canvas is what makes your art beautiful.
Drunk Elephant has been all over Instagram lately. They are known for their rather expensive but super hyped-up and beautiful skincare products. I have been constantly seeing posts and reviews on these products which got me really curious about them. However, due to the fact that their products can cost upwards of $40 AUD, I was honestly a little hesitant to try them. But then I saw they had a mini’s pack called The Littles at my local Mecca store which contained 7 skincare minis for $125 AUD, I decided that it was time to try it out!
Firstly, let’s talk a little about Drunk Elephant as a brand. Drunk Elephant is a U.S. based brand owned by the amazing Tiffany Masterson. All of the skincare products are ‘clean compatible’ meaning that they do not contain toxic ingredients. These toxic ingredients are often referred to by Tiffany as the “suspicious 6’ which consist of essential oils, drying alcohols, silicones, chemical sunscreens, fragrances and SLS. For more information check out the philosophy behind Drunk Elephant here.
Now, let’s get into the little goodies included in this kit!
