My Makeup Stash | Face Palettes

Hi Beauties,

Welcome back to another post! Sorry about the inconsistency lately, I am just trying to get back into the groove of working full time, having a personal life and maintaining my presence on social media and this blog. But hey, it will all sort itself out soon I’m sure.

As you guessed by the title of today’s blog, this post is going to give you an in-depth look into my face palette collection. This part of my collection isn’t massive compared to other areas of my collection, but I definitely have way more face palettes than the average person needs as I have been collecting makeup for many years now. Anyway, let’s jump straight into it, shall we?

The Nars Virtual Domination palette was a Sephora released exclusive palette that came out way back in 2014. I got my hands on mine in 2016, so she’s an oldie in my collection. I haven’t reached for this palette too much over the years, however, recently I decided to add this to my project pan simply because I have had it in my collection for a long period of time. This palette comes with a bronzer, and highlight shade as well as 3 beautiful blushes.

The Tarte Cosmetics Blush & Glow palette is a stunning addition to my collection. This one is in the style ‘Peachy Glow’. I don’t always reach for this one, but when I do, boy am I not disappointed! Tarte makes really good face products (in my opinion anyway). The blush is beautiful and buildable and the highlight is subtle but striking.

My first ever Hourglass product was the beautiful limited edition Ambient Lighting Palette they made in collaboration with Mecca. This is another product that is no longer available, however, the other Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palettes are very similar! I go through phases of using this because I do love it, but sometimes I need to give some other products a go.

My Sleek Face Form Contouring Palette has been in my collection for far too long! But I just can’t seem to give it up. It has the most perfect mix of shades that suit my skin tone perfectly. These palettes are so affordable also which makes them even better! I will sadly be giving this one up at some point this year just because it is so old.

I picked up the Tarte Cosmetics Tarteist PRO Glow To Go Palette from Sephora over a year ago. You know how Sephora stores have those little samples and goodies right as you are walking to the register? Yeah, well, they bloody got me didn’t they. Anyway, I am actually so glad I picked this one up. It is the most perfect little contouring and highlight palette to take travelling. My favourite thing in this palette, however, is the stunning and blinding highlight shade. Want to be seen from space? Pick up this palette!

Another really good travel palette is the Tarte Cosmetics Hampton’s Weekender Contour Palette. I am pretty sure I picked up this palette in one of those amazing sales that Tarte does where you basically build a makeup bag using their products and get them all at a discounted price. I wouldn’t say I use this one as much as the Glow To Go palette, but this is still a favourite in my collection.

I was lucky enough to be sent the Ulta3 Face The Day Baked Contour & Highlight Palette at the end of 2019. Firstly, the smell of this palette is amazing but I can’t put my finger on exactly what it smells like. But trust me, it’s good. Secondly, for a palette that costs under $15, this is amazing! I was so surprised when I first tested it out for my blog last year and I have been reaching for it ever since.

Which ones are your favourites from your collection? Are there any of these you would like to see a full review on? Make sure you leave me a comment and let me know 🙂

That’s all for now Beauties
