New Release | Ulta3 | Dark Summer Collection

Hi Beauties,

I am back at you again with a new post! I am really trying to get back into being more consistent with posting again, but it might take me some time as I have a lot of ideas going on in my head, and so little time to see them through!

Anyway, in today’s post, we are going to have a look at a brand new collection that was just released last week! I was lucky enough to be sent some of the new Ulta3 Dark Summer Collection to try out from the lovely Julia and the Ulta3 team.

The Dark Summer Collection is a stunningly warm and wearable collection with a fashionably dark twist, according to Ulta3. They believe that reflective and multi-dimensional tones are no stranger to the summer season, but this new collection features a striking addition to the traditional bronzed summer look we all know and love. This collection features dark plum shades, berry tones and a mix of metallics that will help elevate your look!

First up in the collection we have the Great Lengths Mascara, which comes in both a normal and waterproof edition. Ulta3 believes that if long and defined lashes are your thing, then this is your product! This mascara comes with a slimline silicone brush that ensures that even those small, difficult to reach lashes are coated. The formula is also infused with Vitamin E and Biotinoyl Tripeptide which helps to hydrate and strengthen lashes. I myself love a waterproof or water-resistant formula when it comes to mascaras as I have always had issues with transferring during the day from normal mascaras. The Great Lengths Mascara retails for only $9.95 AUD.

Next up we have the limited edition Master Metals Eyeshadows, which comes in three stunning metallic shades – Brass, Bronze and Copper. If you love making a statement with super reflective, creamy metallic eyeshadows than these might be the products for you! The high-intensity formula of these shadows means that a little product goes a really long way. The Master Metals Eyeshadow retails for $6.95 AUD each.

Next in this collection, we have the Longwear Matte Lip Cream, which comes in 3 shades – Fearless, Strike Out and Dark Dreams. I was lucky enough to receive the shade Strike Out which is a stunning deep red shade. I love a liquid lipstick so I am hoping that this will be no exception. My first impression of the formula is that it is very pigmented and has the potential to be a new favourite of mine! The Longwear Matte Lip Creams retail for $7.95 AUD each.

What good is having great eyeshadow, if you have no base to put it on? The next product in this collection is the All Night Long Eyeshadow Primer. Eyeshadow primers help to extend the wear and increase the intensity of any eyeshadow with just one simple step. I can’t wait to start using this, as I have just gotten into trying out different eyeshadow bases! The Ulta3 All Night Long Eyeshadow Primer retails for $6.95 AUD.

The Dark Summer Collection features not one, but TWO different mascara types. The second is the Loud and Proud Mascara, which also comes in a waterproof and normal formula. Ulta3 believes that if you love yourself some thick and voluminous lashes then this is the mascara for you. This product comes with a non-clumping, high-lift formula that ensures all lashes are completely coated and lifted. I am down to the last few uses of my current mascara, so I am beyond happy to test out this one soon! The Loud and Proud Mascara retails for $9.95 AUD.

Last, but certainly not least, we have some stunning limited edition nail polishes! There are three shades available – Thunder, Sangria and Evolve. I have really been loving my Ulta3 polishes so far. I do get my nails done by my trusty nail tech, but I tend to mix up the colours on my toes every now and then, and that’s how I have been testing them out. I am loving the look of both the shades I received (Sangria, a deep brown/red shade and Evolve, a metallic brown shade). However, I really am intrigued about the Thunder shade, so I might have to go pick it up myself. The Ulta3 Nail Polishes retail for only $2.95 AUD each!

This range is vegan and cruelty-free and is available to purchase now at selected pharmacies and online

*Disclaimer – all these products have been generously gifted to me, but all opinions are my own*

Have you tried any of the Dark Summer Collection from Ulta3? What products do you have your eyes on? Leave me a comment and let me know 🙂

My Makeup Stash | Eyeshadow Palettes

Hi Beauties!

A while ago I started a series on here (that quickly went dead when I needed to have a break from blogging) that looked at all my makeup products. Today we are going to revive that series and start fresh. I am going to start at a weird spot, with my eyeshadow palettes.

If you follow my Instagram then you might have seen that I have allocated each of my eyeshadow palettes a number. Every now and then I will randomly generate a number and whichever palette that number corresponds to is the palette that I will play around with and post a full review (and swatches) on. Therefore, I won’t be going into much detail about the palettes, their shades and showing swatches in this post. But just know, they are coming this year!

#1 – Certifeye ‘The Tropical Wonders’ Palette

If you are after a colourful palette, this is the one for you. It consists of 18 matte shadows with a colour story that reaches from one side of the rainbow to the other. It is also vegan-friendly and cruelty-free! I got this palette early in 2019 and I have been very happy with my decision to purchase it.

#2 – Jeffree Star Cosmetics ‘Androgyny’ Palette

The infamous Jeffree Star released this palette into his line back in 2017 and it has been a big hit since its arrival on the market. It consists of 10 sugar large eyeshadow pans with a mix of super matte and metallic finishes. It is also cruelty-free. This palette has been in my collection for a little while, so it will be interesting to see if my thoughts have changed on it when I test it out a little more this year.

#3 – ColourPop Cosmetics x Disney ‘It’s A Princess Thing’ Palette

I feel like everyone was so excited when ColourPop Cosmetics released its first collaboration with Disney. Since the launch of this palette, the collaborations haven’t ended! This palette consists of 15 shadows with a range of matte and metallic finishes. This is a palette that I am unsure about in my collection as I don’t reach for it often however, it is such a ‘collectors’ item for someone who loves all things Disney, so even if I am not still in love with it after testing it out, it may just stay in my collection.

#4 – ColourPop Cosmetics x Shayla ‘Perception’ Palette

This stunning palette consists of 16 shadows with a great mix of matte and shimmer finishes. I was blown away by this palette when I had first gotten my hands on it, as I had never tried a proper eyeshadow palette from ColourPop before. However, now that I have been playing with more products, this palette has been put on the backburner. Again, this is one palette that I need to play with again to see if my love still remains.

#5 – ColourPop Cosmetics ‘She’s A Rainbow’ Palette

Hello rainbow, how are you? Another amazing colourful rainbow palette in my collection! Back in the day, I stayed as far away from ‘colourful’ looks as possible. These days I am mad for them! This palette contains 24 beautiful shadows with a mix of matte, shimmer and glitter shades. I have only had this in my collection since September 2019, so in all honesty, I haven’t gotten to play around with it too much.

#6 – Huda Beauty ‘Electric Obsessions’ Palette

This little palette is the first Huda Beauty product I ever splurged on, and it was also my first ever ‘colourful’ palette. This little mini palette contains 9 colourful shadows with a mix of matte and shimmer shades. It is such a bold and bright palette for someone who is attempting to dip their feet into the colourful world. Unfortunately, you can no longer purchase this palette, which does make me both hesitant to use it and also to let it go. I haven’t picked this up in a while but I am sure I will still love it when I finally do.

#7 – Juvia’s Place ‘The Saharan’ Palette

I feel like everyone needs to try a palette from Juvia’s Place once in their life. They are so bold and pigmented, so it is easy to see why they are becoming so popular. This palette contains 12 super bold shadows in a mix of matte, shimmer and sheen finishes. I have to be honest and say I find it hard to get inspired to create looks with this palette as I guess I am not so used to this sort of colour story, but let’s hope that when I test it out at some point this year that changes.

#8 – Ulta3 ‘Go Getter’ Palette*

I was ever so generously sent this product just before Christmas in 2019, so I haven’t had the chance to play around with it too much yet. This palette consists of 9 shadows with a mix of matte, shimmer and glitter finishes. I do love the colour story of this palette, as I love myself some berry tones. Fingers crossed I love this palette as it is just so affordable.

#9 – Jeffree Star Cosmetics ‘Mini Breaker’ Palette

I feel like every beauty lover has seen this palette, so there is no introduction needed. This palette consists of 9 beautiful shadows with a mix of matte, shimmer and glitter finishes. This palette definitely got the type it deserved when it was first released as it is an absolutely stunning palette. I already know I will be keeping this one, but I still can’t wait to play with it and fall in love all over again.

#10 – Juvia’s Place ‘The Zulu’ Palette

Another colourful palette… really Emma? This palette is so beautiful. It consists of 9 highly pigmented rainbow shadows with a mix of matte and metallic finishes. I am slightly confused about the dark brown shade in the palette, however, I understand it is always nice to have a deeper shade for those more smokey looks.

#11 – Juvia’s Place ‘The Saharan II’ Palette

This is the last Juvia’s Place I have in my collection. This palette consists of 9 shadows with a mix of matte and metallic finishes. If I am being honest, the metallic shades are all I want to use in this palette as the mattes are way too much for my skin tone (anyone tanner than me could get so much use out of them!). But in saying this, is the palette worth keeping just for the metallics? I hope to figure this out soon.

#12 – Violet Voss ‘Holy Grail’ Palette

There is a reason this palette is called the Holy Grail! This palette consists of 20 amazing shadows with a mix of matte, metallic and sheen finishes. There is not a lot I can say about this palette that I haven’t already said on my blog and my Instagram before. I love this palette so much and it will never be leaving me! In saying that, I can not wait for it to pop up in my random palette generator so I can play with it.

#13 – Personalised ColourPop Cosmetics Single Pressed Eyeshadow Palette

This palette is a little different as it is one I have put together myself. My goal when I test out this palette is to possibly narrow down the colours in it and get rid of any that I am just never going to use. In this palette, I have a mix of matte, shimmer, metallic and glitter shadows. This was the first palette that I randomly selected to test out so stay tuned for an in-depth blog post on this one real soon.

#14 – Personalised Makeup Geek Cosmetics Single Shadow Palette

Similar to the palette above, this is one that I put together myself. These shadows are some of the oldest in my collection and therefore need to be tested to ensure that they are still performing to their very best. This palette has a mix of matte, metallic and duo chrome shadows in it.

#15 – Jeffree Star Cosmetics ‘Blood Sugar’ Palette

Again, I feel like this is a palette that everyone either has in their own collection, has tried out, or has at least seen it everywhere online. It has been super popular since it’s release and it really isn’t hard to see why. This palette consists of 18 super pigmented shadows with a mix of matte, shimmer and metallic finishes. This one is definitely staying in my collection after I test it out again, but I can’t wait to see what new looks I can come up with using it.

#16 – Jeffree Star Cosmetics ‘Jawbreaker’ Palette

Last, but certainly not least, is this enormous palette. This palette consists of 24 shadows with a mix of matte, metallic and shimmer finishes. I fell in love with this palette as soon as I saw it! So it is safe to say that it won’t be going anywhere. Even though something about this palette messes with my slight OCD, I can not wait to play around with it again and come up with some really amazing colourful looks.

Note: any products marked with * were sent to me to try out.

Have you tried any of these eyeshadow palettes? Which palette is your favourite? Make sure you leave me a comment and let me know 🙂

New Release | Ulta3 | Ultimate Gifting Collection

Hi Beauties!

They say it is the most wonderful time of the year, but it is also the most stressful time to shop for all those family/friends Christmas presents. Ulta3 decided to help to take the guesswork out of gifting this Christmas and release a complete range of premium quality cosmetic gift sets (without the premium price tag!)

Once again, I was lucky enough to be contacted by a member of the Ulta3 Beauty team and asked if I wanted to try out some of their 2019 Gifting Collection. After trying out the last goodies I received, and being super impressed by them, I knew I wanted to do some more testing on this range. Today’s post is going to be all about the wonderful Ulta3 2019 Gifting Collection.

Firstly we have the beautiful Trend Hunter Nail Gift Set. This pack of four full-sized beautiful nail polishes only costs $9.95 AUD! The bold and bright shades will give you the pop of colour you need to brighten any look. These polishes are so stunning and I can definitely see myself being unable to pick which one I want to use first.

Next up we have the Go Getter Eyeshadow Palette which retails for only $19.95 AUD. This palette is designed to be totally wearable but also allow you to make a statement. It has nine super pigmented and blendable eyeshadow shades which are the perfect mix of natural tones and ‘pop’ shades. You can definitely create a beautiful natural day look, then turn it into a dramatic night look with just this one palette. I have been playing around with this one over the past few weeks and I am really impressed! This would be a great present for a young beauty who is just getting into makeup as the shades are not too pigmented that they are hard to work with which means you can slowly work your way up to a beautiful look. I have also found that these eyeshadows are super blendable and buttery!

How beautiful is this The Cheek Of It Baked Blush Palette?! It only costs $14.95 AUD and contains eight stunning baked blush powders. It has a beautiful range of shades, tones and finishes so that anyone will be able to find the right blush for them. I also tested this one out over the past few days and I think I have found my new favourite blush palette! All the shades are stunning and buttery, they also aren’t overly pigmented which means you won’t end up looking like a clown. The smell of this palette is to die for, I can’t quite put my finger on what it is exactly, but whatever it is smells amazing.

The second to last product is the stunning Face The Day Baked Contour and Highlight Palette. This beauty will set you back only $14.95 AUD! This palette contains everything that you need to brighten and bronze-like a pro. The palette is travel-friendly and contains eight beautiful bronzer and highlight shades that can be used on any skin tone (it also smells really nice). I tested this one out for the first time the other day and was super impressed! I loved the different bronzer shades and how they blended so seamlessly onto the skin. They didn’t go muddy when I added extra colour and the shades blended so nicely into each other.

Last, but certainly not least, we have the Colour Countdown Calendar. This new take on the traditional chocolate advent calendar will only cost you $24.95 AUD. This fun advent calendar features 12 beautiful travel sized Ulta3 nail polishes which are each hidden behind their own individual door. They can be used to brighten up each day in the lead up to the special day. If you are impatient like me, then jump over to my Instagram to see the beautiful polishes in this advent calendar. I also did some swatches of these nail polishes, and the nail polishes from the Trend Hunter Nail Gift Set on there too! Check them out here.

This range is vegan and cruelty-free and is available to purchase now at selected pharmacies and online

Ulta3 | Blossom Beauty Collection | First Impressions

Hi Beauties,

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to have a representative from Ulta3 Beauty reach out to me and ask if I wanted to try out some of their new Blossom Beauty collection. I was a little hesitant at first because I had never tried anything from this brand before. But then I thought, what a perfect opportunity to change that! Today’s post is going to be all about the amazing goodies that I was lucky enough to be gifted from Ulta3.

First up we have the Longwear Lip Liners in the shades Coral Reef, Garnet and Latte. These goodies retail for only $4.95 AUD each. These classic soft-tipped pencils are a new vegan formula for Ulta3 and they easily help extend the wear of any lip colour. These are available in 7 different shades. I never really got into the lip liner trend but it is something that I want to practise in order to perfect. I have only swatched these lip liners and I can honestly say that they are so buttery and smooth! I can’t wait to play around with them more.

Next up we have the Get Glossy Lip Lacquers in the shades Fierce Fuchsia, Rosé All Day and Barely There. These beauties retail for $7.95 AUD each! What an absolute bargain. These high shine and pigmented lip lacquers give your lips a super glossy and juicy finish. These are available in 8 different shades and come in a super smooth, non-sticky formula. Now if you have been following me for a while when you may know that in the past lip glosses were never my thing. But boy how times have changed! I have been loving putting these on the lips and heading out the door. They are just so quick and easy to use and they feel so nice and comfortable on the lips. So far a win in my books! I will definitely keep trying these out and keep you updated.

The second to last product is the Pucker Up Lip Plumping Gloss. This retails for only $9.95 AUD. This Lip Gloss helps to plump up that pout with its clear, high-shine plumping mixture. You can use it on its own or as a topcoat over your favourite lip shade. The formula works instantly to help give you perfectly plump lips and long-lasting hydration. If you have tried any lip plumping products in the past then you may know all about that ‘burning’ sensation that is often associated with the plumping nature of these glosses. I found with this product that it wasn’t so much as a ‘burning’ sensation but rather a slight tingle. I have already used this a couple of times and I am really loving it.

Last, but certainly not least, we have the Bloom Blush Liquid Blushes in the shades Flossy and Sweetheart. This amazing liquid to powder blush formula is so smooth and super pigmented. A small amount of product really goes a long way with this one! These beauties are available in 3 shades and are sadly limited edition, so you will have to get in their quick. Now, when I first read the ‘liquid to powder’ description I was instantly very intrigued. How on earth would that work? Well let me tell you, it works amazingly! I have been putting a very small amount on my finger and tapping it onto both cheeks. Then I rub in the product to get the powdered effect. I am in love with this product at the moment as I love how natural it looks on the skin compared to traditional blushes.

This range is vegan and cruelty-free and is available to purchase now at selected pharmacies and online
